ROGER WILLIAMS WELCOMES NEW CANCER FUNDING FOR POWYS

Roger Williams, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, has welcomed the news that Macmillan Cancer Support are to spend more than £1m on cancer services in Powys.

Macmillan Cancer Support will work with the Bracken Trust in Llandrindod Wells, Powys County Council and Cross Roads Mid and West Wales.

Mr Williams said:

"The announcement that this money will be directed towards cancer services in Powys County Council is most welcome.

"Previously, Powys residents who suffer from cancer have had to travel long distances to receive the care they require.

"The range of services that will be available to patients and their families will be a huge boost in helping people cope with this illness."
